Since 2019, the Hamburg Patriotic Society of 1765 (www.patriotische-gesellschaft.de) maintains a working group „Sustainable Urban Health“ / Seit 2019 unterhält die Hamburger Patriotische Gesellschaft von 1765 (www.patriotische-gesellschaft.de) einen Arbeitskreis „Nachhaltige StadtGesundheit“, www.patriotische-gesellschaft.de/de/ueber-uns/arbeitskreise-und-projektgruppen/arbeitskreis-nachhaltige-stadtgesundheit.html.

Today, this working group published the following report: „Sustainable Urban Health – a topic for the whole city. On the activities of the working group 2020-2022“ (in German), compiled by / Der Arbeitskreis gab heute folgenden Bericht heraus: „Nachhaltige Gesundheit – ein Thema für die ganze Stadt. The Hamburg Network for Health Services Research (HAM-NET) aims to initiate sustainable cooperation within health services research, https://ham-net.de/en/ / Das Hamburger Netzwerk für Versorgungsforschung (HAM-NET) verfolgt als Ziel die Förderung und Koordination der Versorgungsforschung sowie die Verbindung von Versorgungsforschung und Versorgungspraxis in Hamburg, https://ham-net.de/de/.

HAM-NET organizes an interdisciplinary lecture series in the form of digital lunch symposia, 1-2 p.m. / HAM-NET betreibt eine interdisziplinäre Vortragssreihe als digitale Lunch Symposien, 13-14h.

On 1 Feb 2023, German-language presentation / Am 1.2.2023 deutschsprachige Präsentation: J.Augustin, R.Fehr: Sustainabable Urban health – Hamburg / Nachhaltige StadtGesundheit Hamburg.

Medical care as well as prevention and health promotion are subject to growing differentiation and specialization. “Sustainable Urban Health” sees itself as an integrative, networking counterpart. With this in mind, a new report on the situation in Hamburg has been produced with extensive participation from science and practice / Medizinische Versorgung sowie Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung unterliegen wachsender Ausdifferenzierung und Spezialisierung. „Nachhaltige StadtGesundheit“ versteht sich als ein integrativer, vernetzender Gegenpol. In diesem Sinne ist mit umfangreicher Beteiligung aus Wissenschaft und Praxis ein neuer Bericht zur Situation in Hamburg entstanden.

Based on this joint work, the event will discuss what role the Public Health approaches Urban Health and Regional Health can play for the city and the metropolitan region of Hamburg / Ausgehend von diesem Gemeinschaftswerk soll in der Veranstaltung erörtert werden, welche Rolle die gesundheitswissenschaftlichen Ansätze Urban Health und Regional Health für Stadt und Metropolregion Hamburg spielen können.

Within the research and funding programme “City of the Future: Healthy, Sustainable Metropolises” of the Fritz and Hildegard Berg Foundation in the Stifterverband, the project “Urban Development and Health – Disciplinary and Sectoral Bridge Building” continues as a long-term component, cf. https://rfehr.eu/portfolio/2013-project-urban-health-building-bridges/ / Im Rahmen des Forschungs- und Förderprogramms „Stadt der Zukunft: Gesunde, nachhaltige Metropolen“ der Fritz und Hildegard Berg-Stiftung im Stifterverband läuft als längerfristig angelegte Komponente das Projekt „Stadtentwicklung und Gesundheit – disziplinärer und sektoraler Brückenbau“, siehe https://rfehr.eu/portfolio/2013-project-urban-health-building-bridges/.

The project phase VI was approved on 28.11.2022 and covers the period from 1.1.2023 to 31.12.2024 / Die Projektphase VI wurde am 28.11.2022 bewilligt und umfasst den Zeitraum 1.1.2023 bis 31.12.2024.

Hitherto, the project had been located in the Department of Public Health, Universität Bielefeld; it now continues in the University’s Medical School / Das Projekt war bisher in der Fakultät für Gesundheitswissenschaften der Universität Bielefeld angesiedelt; es wird nun in der dortigen Medizinischen Fakultät Ostwestfalen-Lippe fortgesetzt.
