Over the past few years, the egalitarian vision of the Information Age has increasingly come into question … Nervous Systems asks how the enormous amounts of data captured by billions of sensors from our everyday communications and movements are transforming this behaviour. How does this transform our understanding of self and society? ... / In den letzten Jahren ist die egalitäre Vision des Informationszeitalters immer fraglicher geworden… Die Ausstellung Nervöse Systeme geht der Frage nach, wie die gewaltigen Datenmengen, die anhand von Milliarden von Sensoren tagtäglich aus unserer Kommunikation und unseren Bewegungen gewonnen werden, sich auf unser Verhalten, unsere Selbstwahrnehmung und unser Bild von der Gesellschaft auswirken…

What remains of the world when it is being interpreted for us by machines? / Was bleibt übrig von der Welt, wenn Maschinen sie für uns interpretieren?

The exhibition assembles works by over 25 artists, installed in an architectural grid. The grid invokes a paradigmatic “system” and template for knowledge, order, and the reorganization of life in modernity / Die Ausstellung präsentiert Arbeiten von über 25 Künstler*innen in einem architektonischen Raster, dem Grid, das hier als paradigmatisches “System” und Organisationsmodell für Wissen, Ordnung und die Neuorganisation des Lebens in der Moderne steht.

Next to the grid, the exhibition features The White Room, a live installation by the Tactical Technology Collective … The White Room is where we learn to de-familiarize ourselves with our familiar technological environment. … The objects, books, artifacts, gadgets, and artworks gathered here offer a rather awkward contemplation. The exhibition looks to the void of “autonomy” as a disappearing modus operandi of political action / Neben dem Grid befindet sich der White Room der Ausstellung, eine Live-Installation des Tactical Technology Collective. … Dieser Raum macht es möglich, die vertraute technologische Umgebung neu zu betrachten … Die Objekte, Bücher, Artefakte, Gadgets und künstlerischen Arbeiten  liefern eine ernüchternde Analyse  der Leerstelle, die sich derzeit auftut, da Autonomie als modus operandi politischen Handelns im Verschwinden begriffen ist.
