“First gas station of the world”: In August 1888, on the first ever automotive long-distance trip, Bertha Benz received fresh supply of ligroin (light gasoline) from the Wiesloch pharmacy which thus can be seen as the world’s first gas station (Monument: Pit Elsasser) / “Erste Tankstelle der Welt”: Im August 1888 auf der ersten Fernfahrt der Automobilgeschichte erhielt Bertha Benz den benötigten Nachschub an Ligroin (Leichtbenzin) von der Wieslocher Stadt-Apotheke, die sich dadurch als erste Tankstelle der Welt ansehen lässt (Denkmal: Pit Elsasser)
