VIENNA 2016 – A GREEN CONFERENCE

We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of the conference and finding ways to be more environmentally responsible. We encourage our delegates to travel CO2 neutral and have taken the following actions to help minimize the environmental impact of the conference:

  • With your Conference Bag you will receive a water bottle which you can refill at water fountains located around the ACV. The water bottle is kindly offered by the European Patients Forum (EPF).
  • Coffee and tea are served in recycled cups. Most lunch ingredients are from regional and organic origin.
  • Printing of posters, announcements and other materials is reduced by switching to E-Posters, digital marketing and email communication.
  • The Conference Programme and Abstracts can be accessed online.
  • The Conference Bag is made of recycled materials and the Programme Book is printed on FSC Mix paper.

Earlier this year, Urban Health was added to the online glossary of the German Federal Agency for Health Promotion (BZgA), cf. 26 Jan 2016, including summary / Anfang des Jahres wurde Urban Health / StadtGesundheit in das Online-Glossar der BZgA “Leitbegriffe der Gesundheitsförderung und Prävention” aufgenommen, vgl. 26.1.16 mit Zusammenfassung.

Today, proofreading of the “Urban Health” contribution was completed for the upcoming print version: “Key terms of Health Promotion and Prevention – Glossary of concepts, strategies and methods” (BZgA; editorial group led by Alf Trojan) / Heute Korrekturlesen abgeschlossen für entsprechenden Beitrag in dem demnächst erscheinenden Ergänzungsband 2016: “Leitbegriffe der Gesundheitsförderung und Prävention – Glossar zu Konzepten, Strategien und Methoden” (BZgA; Leitung der Redaktionsgruppe: Alf Trojan).

Invited review “Urban Health in Germany” is now accepted for publication in Public Health Forum Nr. 93 (forthcoming, Dec. 2016) / Eingeladener Übersichtsartikel “StadtGesundheit in Deutschland” ist nun akzeptiert zur Veröffentlichung in Public Health Forum.
